Skyline HS LRCII teacher
Here we are, our second (or third)??? full week at home learning. I feel like it has been FOR EVER since seeing all of you in person! Although I miss our daily routines greatly, we must all remember that we are being safe so everyone can stay healthy.
This week I plan to provide more resources that will help families make a learning schedule at home. Everything should be printable from home (if you are able to). Under "ONLINE RESOURCES" you will find EELR's, Emergency Educational Learning Resources, specific to vocations, self-care, and independent living. At LEAST one will be posted per week. If you have a favorite vocational or something specific you would like to learn about, then please e-mail me about it! [email protected] Additionally, you will find a list of authors from all levels (elementary, middle, and high school) that are sharing writing, poetry, drawing, and read aloud's on the attached websites. I encourage everyone to check out at least one new author a week and do an activity. It was SO great to see Max, Rose, Rabab, Tanisha, and Michael on our Zoom meeting last week, along with Ms. Sarah and Ms. Suni! :) Another invite will be sent out to everyone via e-mail for this Friday at 11am. The e-mail about the meeting also will include guidelines and expectations while in our "social" Zoom meetings. If you are looking for a little movement in your life (inside your home of course), the PE department, including Ms. Wincewicz (Wince) has a webpage filled with resources and things to do! https://sites.google.com/site/mswincewicz/ Until next time, stay safe and healthy! Mrs. H :)

Hello students and families! It is so nice to "see" you! This is a crazy, unpredictable time that we are in right now. I hope the resources that I provide will enable your student to continue learning, as well as focus on personal growth through this challenging time. These resources are ONLY suggestions, not requirements, and if you have any that you would like to share, please post a message after this entry or send me an e-mail. :)
I have added another "tab" to the menu "Online Resources". For today, I added Virtual Field Trips (mainly zoo's), Reading--read aloud's by authors (elementary level for today; I will post more levels throughout the week), and Other--science, art, general, and social skills. PLEASE feel free to share any experiences your student has with any of these resources, either by commenting on here or e-mailing me. In addition to these resources (which I will add to throughout the week), I also want to make sure that every student knows that he/she can access Typing.com and ixl Math. Both links are here: https://www.typing.com/ https://www.ixl.com/math/partner=google&campaign=71590888&adGroup=11909213968&gclid=CjwKCAjwvOHzBRBoEiwA48i6AlY4ru8x18XsIvNe2qk2jWIE-5248njU8y-cJtuUDWa8gVZanfi8mhoCM0MQAvD_BwE Every student has his/her own login and password. If you need the information, please contact me via e-mail and I will send it to you. I also (*finally*) added pictures from our Holiday party and field trip to Microsoft. It was nice "seeing" the students when I posted pictures, but I still miss seeing them every weekday! Check them out under the "Pictures" tab. Enjoy! Have FUN! and Take care!!! Mrs. H :) |
